Our culture is our pride and our cultural heritage is truly represented by the rural part of India. The villages of our country has successfully retained the true essence of our age old traditions and culture. The villages are the lifeline of India. Every part of rural India holds the rich legacy of our cultural heritage. To celebrate this rich cultural vibrancy of the villages of India, the Ministry of Culture, Government of India organised an event to launch its web portal "Mera Gaon Meri Dharohar" at mgmd.gov.in which was inaugurated by Honorable Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah on 27 July 2023 at Qutub Minar, Delhi.
It was an opportune moment for Himalayan International School to have been invited to grace this eventful occasion. Two teachers of the school, Ms. Shakuntala and Ms. Sarita Jain attended this event and witnessed a grand musical evening with plethora of cultural activities.
