Baishaki :-

'Dum-Dum Lak-Lak
Dum-Dum-Dum….'

Tiny tots of Himalaya International School came in Punjabi Attire to celebrate 'Baisakhi' with Dhol and Dhamaka. Attractive Activity Sheets in which Colouring was done and original 'Bali' was pasted by children. Rhymes related to Baisakhi festival was recited by few students. The best child in Punjabi Attire was appreciated. Children danced on Punjabi moves and enjoyed a lot. In 'Prashad'yellow rice was distributed among each and every child to remark this occasion.'Handy Sunflower' and 'headband of Sunflower' were given to all Nursery and KG students.

Earth Day :-

'Be Kind To Your Planet'

Earth Day was celebrated at Himalaya International School to sensitize students to the continuous degradation of the environment and to encourage them to think of the environment friendly practices to make our planet a more sustainable and livable place. Special Assemblies were conducted providing a perfect occasion for the students to speak and learn about the environment through English Rhymes, Hindi Rhymes, Songs, Funfilled activities and Slogans. The Little Himalayans were encouraged to carry forward this 'Green Message' with them and spread awareness to save MOTHER EARTH.

Mother's Day :-

"Mother's hold their children's hands for a while, but their hearts forever." 
Little Himalayans celebrated Mother's Day on 11th May, 2018. A special Assembly was conducted for the children to speak and express their feeling through English and Hindi Poem, heart touching song and quotations. Children outpoured their emotions by creating beautiful cards and takeaway bouquet of flowers for their mothers to express their heartfelt gratitude, boundless love and infinite affection. They also filled Rainbow colors in informative worksheet on the same.

World Population Day :-

Keep a small family to have a big happy life!
World Population Day 2018 was celebrated in school premises on 5.7.18. Students of Nursery and KG shared their views through Rhymes and Slogans.

International Mango Day :-

"Mango is the King of fruits"
A sweet juicy morning for the tiny tots of Himalayans when the students of Nursery and KG delightfully entered the school premises in order to celebrate International Mango Festival Day. Children had worn headgears. They were excited and have fun. Children perform Hindi Rhymes on Mango, last but not least they enjoyed Mango ice-cream and said its so yummieeee!!!

International Tiger Day :-

International Tiger Day was celebrated at Himalaya International School to raise awareness for tiger conservation held on 27th July by the students of Nursery and KG. They expressed their feelings and love through different motivated slogans and rhymes along with colorful props.

World Hiroshima Day :-

Special Assembly on the topic 'World Hiroshima Day' was conducted by our tiny tots of Nursery and KG on 7 August' 2018. They expressed their views through slogans in English and Hindi on peace and non-violence.

Janmashtami :-

Janmashtami is a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces celebrated in the premises of Himalaya International School on 31st August. Nursery and KG students worshipped the Lord Krishna by chatting bhajan. They acquired valuable learnings through Sanskrit Shloka's. Kids also had a glance of elegant Bhakti Nritya. Celebration was enhanced by decorating the earthen pot called matki. Kids expressed their excitement through dance along with yellow "More Pankh" as headgears. In prashad, our tiny tots relished delicious kheer.

World Tourism Day :-

"Tourism is the most effective weapon to save the world."
Himalaya International School has celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness towards the role of tourism. We really feel glad to say that our tiny tots expressed their views through slogans and quotes in English and Hindi to spread awareness and instill cultural feelings.

Gandhi Jayanti :-

Ahinsa Parmo Dharma
To pay honour to Mahatma Gandhiji, the Father of our Nation, We at HIS has celebrated the birth anniversary of the great soul on 1st Oct'18. Our little Himalayans expressed their gratitude through Hindi poems, English slogans, all these based on Gandhiji's teachings. It was a jubilant celebration.

International Girl Child :-

"Educating and empowering a girl child is the best mantra for success in India."
A special Assembly on the topic 'International Girl Child Day' was conducted by our tiny tots of Nursery and KG on 11.10.18 (i.e. Thursday). They expressed their feelings through poems, slogans and quotes in English and Hindi.

Dussehra :-

Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dussehra was celebrated on 18.10.18 (i.e. Thursday) at HIS. Various activities including poetic Ramayana, Role play activity on different characters of Ramayana, and distribution of face mask of Hanuman glorified the occasion. Through all these activities, kids reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.

Special Assembly on Indian Navy Day was held on 4.12.18. 
Wow…. Wonderful moments to express their feelings in beautiful Navy attires to pay reverence to all the Indian soldiers.

Earth day, an annual event was celebrated in HIS on April 22, 2019 with utmost enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by teachers for spreading the message to make the "EARTH CLEAN & GREEN". The students of Class KG had spoken slogans and also planted saplings to become aware of our nature.

On 9 May, 2019, International Red Cross Day was celebrated at Himalaya International School, Our tiny tots learnt the importance of Red Cross day through inspiring slogans, quotes and English poems.

Mother's Day :-

Mother's Day is a special day of the year, dedicated to all mothers. It is celebrated all over the world. Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of children. The studens of HIS were given an opportunity to show their affection for their mothers a day prior to Mother's Day.

WORLD SENIOR CITIZEN'S DAY :-

World Senior Citizen day was celebrated by Pre-Primary wing of Himalaya International School. They paid their heartfelt gratitude to their elders by dancing and by uttering different messages. They enjoyed by enacting the role of Dadi and Dadu on this occasion.

Gandhi Jayanti :-

Himalaya International School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 1.10.19. Selected tiny tots came dressed in khadi and a cotton Kurta Pyjamas as a mark of Bapu. They expressed their love and affection for Bapu through different rhymes and slogans.

Dussehra :-

Dussehra, the festival to celebrate the victory of good over evil, was celebrated on the 4 October, 2019 in school with a lot of religious zeal and devotion. Children were adorned in attractive outfits for the day to perform the role of Rama, Sita Lakshman, Manthra,… They were glad and had learnt values which are the core of the Ramayan.
